Teacher by day, chef by night.
Between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm, I work with an energetic bunch of kids, but once I arrive home I put on my apron and transform into a chef. In the kitchen, I enjoy trying new recipes and altering old ones for a fresh new appeal.
My food interests include baking and Asian cuisine, though I tend to like it all. Living in China for two years taught me to be passionate about Asian cuisines. While in Shanghai and Thailand I took several cooking courses. Since returning to the U.S. I have continued to explore Asian cooking.
Asian cuisine is one passion and baking is another. I have been in the kitchen baking since I was very young and experimenting with recipes. My mom wasn't happy with some of my experiments. One of those experiments involved brownie batter and a dozen eggs. Baking in the more recent years has led me to cakes and cake decorating. I have taken cake decorating courses so that I can take cakes from just delicious, to delicious and beautiful.

ReplyDeleteDella's recipes are delicious! I have a difficult time deciding what she should cook for me when I visit. My favorite is Kung Pao Chicken. I do let her experiment on me.(Mama)
